Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) opened a criminal proceeding against the Spokesperson of Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy under the suspicion of misuse of public funds, as NABU press office reported, Unian news agency informs.
“April 10, 2019, in response to a ruling of Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv investigation judge as of April 2, 2019, NABU representative included information in the Unified registry of pre-trial investigation provided by the articles of Ukraine’s Criminal Code,” the establishment reports.
Therefore, the pre-trial investigation is being held on deliberate abuse of power or official authority for the unlawful benefit, misuse of public funds, budget spending or loans from the budget without set allocations from the budget or with their excess.
Court’s ruling as of April 2 reads that Solomyansky Court of Kyiv obliges NABU to include the information about misuse of public funds into the Unified registry of the pre-trial investigation.
Parubiy has not commented on this.
Earlier, NABU opened a criminal proceeding on alleged state treason and other crimes against Roman Truba, the Head of State Bureau of Investigation. Ukraine’s Security Service conducts the investigation.
