Ukraine's Anti-Corruption Bureau opens criminal proceeding against ex-PM Yatsenyuk, Justice Minister

The politicians are suspected of possible abuse of power

Ukraine’s National Anti-corruption Bureau opened a criminal proceeding for a possible abuse of power of Ukraine’s ex-Prime Minister Arsen Yatsenyuk and Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, as NABU responded to the request of Ukrainian News.

“Data were included into the Unified Registry of a pre-trial investigation under the article of Ukraine’s Criminal Code on abuse of power or position,” the message says.

Earlier, Kyiv Solomiansky District Court obliged National Anti-Corruption Bureau to open a criminal proceeding against Arsen Yatsenyuk and Pavlo Petrenko on suspicion of embezzlement of public funds in big amounts and laundering of proceeds.

The Court obliged NABU to open a criminal proceeding under the articles on abuse of power or position, money laundering, forgery, tax avoidance.
