Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau has opened a criminal investigation into possible abuse of office by the former head of the Central Election Commission Tetiana Slipachuk. NABU press service announced this, as Ukrainian News reports.

The case was initiated by a court that ordered to submit this information to the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.

The applicant stated in court that he had found in the decision No. 975 from June 1, 2019 and in all electronic sources of the Central Election Commission knowingly incorrect information about his place of employment and positions, including the name of the public organization and the position of the president of this organization.

The applicant alleges that without agreement with him, the CEC indicated the name of his private enterprise, which, according to its internal order, ceased business activities back in November 2017.

Immediately after the CEC's error was discovered, the applicant applied to the head of the commission asking to enter changes concerning his activity as a candidate for a parliamentarian, but his address was ignored. He then applied again to request to amend his personal data.
