The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) of Ukraine and specialized anti-corruption prosecutors (SAP) submitted a request for absentee pre-trial investigation against the judge of the Kyiv’s Dniprovsky district court Mykola Chaus. It was reported by the press service of NABU.
"NABU and SAP had to resort to such actions because of the suspect’s hiding from the body of pre-trial investigation and his announcement on the international wanted list. Chaus was already informed about the call for questioning in accordance with the requirements of law,” the report said.
As reported earlier, agents from NABU in cooperation with agents from the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) discovered Chaus had received a bribe of $ 150 thousand. The money was found in glass jars, which Chaus dug in the yard of his residence. Judge became famous for his decisions against Euromaidan participants as well as criminal case against Hennadiy Korban, head of Ukrop political party.
