The inter-factional association (IFA) in Verkhovna Rada 'For Democratic Belarus' calls on the Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrsky to take personal control of the investigation into the death of the leader of the Belarusian House in Ukraine Vitaliy Shishov. A relevant statement was made by Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko in Telegram.
According to the MPs, the Special Forces of Belarus may be involved in the death of Shishov.
"The IFA 'For Democratic Belarus' urges the Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrsky to take the investigation of Vitaliy Shishov's death under his personal control, since there are reasonable suspicions that the Lukashenka regime is involved," the statement said.
The MPs also recalled that on July 27, an oppositionist and former member of Belarusian security officials Igor Makar announced that the State Security Committee of Belarus (KDB) had launched a large-scale operation to detain the most influential Belarussian opposition leaders abroad.
As it was reported earlier, on August 3, the police found the body of the disappeared Vitaliy Shishov in one of the parks in Kyiv. He was found hanged. The public organization Belarusian house in Ukraine claimed that he was killed as part of a "special operation planned by the KDB".
