A man attacked the mother of Vladyslav Rashkovan, Ukraine’s Deputy Director in the International Monetary Fund. That happened in the village of Karolino-Buhaz, in Odesa region. The financier wrote this on his Facebook page.

“First, he hit her on the head with a shovel. Then, when she fell, he continued to hit her with a shovel, and then he beat her face with feet. Then he stole a gold chain from her neck and fled,” he wrote.

The neighbors helped a woman, they called police and an ambulance. She is regaiing consciousness and is in the hospital, under medical supervision. Rashkovan added that the criminal had already been found and will be prosecuted. Police have not yet commented on the situation.

As it was reported earlier, from 2013 to 2014, Rashkovan was the Director of Activity Maintenance and Organization Center of UniCredit Bank PJSC. In April 2014, he headed the Department for Banking System Strategy and Reform of the National Bank. In February 2017, Vladyslav Rashkovan was appointed Deputy Director of Ukraine in the International Monetary Fund.
