The capitals of Russia and Ukraine do not cooperate any longer with the initiative of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. This was stated by the Head of Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations of the Moscow Government, Sergey Cheryomin, reports RIA News.
"The relations unfortunately are not frozen today on the initiative of Moscow, but because of the initiative of Kyiv’s Mayor Klitschko," according to Cheryomin who met with the Mayor of the Mexican capital in Mexico City.
Moscow cooperated quite successfully with the former authorities of Kyiv, he noted.
"Moscow provided technology and many Moscow banks and companies actively participated in major infrastructure projects, funded projects including those on development of city, subway, and now all of it has stopped," the official said.
"We are very sorry that Kyiv residents cannot enjoy amazing concerts that we held on the Days of Moscow, that also do not take place anymore," Cheryomin said.
The Head of the Moscow Department considers the position of Kyiv authorities in this regard to be short-sighted.
"We have a great number of other partners in Western Europe, Asia and America and we have other things to do," he added.
Earlier it was reported that Court in Moscow will consider claim for recognition of Maidan as coup. The lawsuit asked to recognize the actions of the Ukrainian authorities as illegitimate.
