As at May 26, more than 10, 000 football fans from other countries have arrived in Kyiv for the UEFA Champions League Final. Oleh Slobodian, the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service claimed this to 112 Ukraine.
'The fans arrive very actively. We spotted about 7,000 fans that arrive by different kinds of the transport during yesterday. Totally, we can talk about more than 10,000 fans who passed the border control', Slobodian noted.
He added that the main workload comes to the air gates of the country. But a lot of the fans come by car; mostly they are the fans of Real football club.
At the same time, the press service of the State Border Guard Service reported that six people were not allowed to enter Ukraine and another two were banned for the violation of the enter-leave of annexed Crimea. Also, the partial decisions on the pass through the Ukrainian border were made toward 200 people.
UEFA Champions League 2018 Final is to be held on May 26 in Kyiv at NSC Olimpiyskiy. 50,000 guests are expected to come to the capital during the final.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s Government instructed the law enforcers to increase the level of activities on defining the potential threat of terrorist attacks in Kyiv and Kyiv region on May 18-28.
