The process of recounting the confiscated funds of Yanukovych regime will end today. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko during the briefing.

He explained that the money was illegally acquired by Yanukovych, stolen from every Ukrainian.

“At the moment, the exact amount is being specified, how much money still remains in form of securities. But it’s not less than 1.5 billion dollars. Now financial transfers to the state treasury are being made. Why does this procedure take so long? Because members of the criminal group of Yanukovych put securities on around a hundred of accounts. Therefore, this operation will be completed today. I am constantly in touch with the authorities of Oschchadbank, with investigators and prosecutors who are in the bank,” Prosecutor General said.
