Court in Moldova arrested former judge of the Kyiv’s Dniprovsky district court Mykola Chaus for 15 days. This was reported Nazar Kholodnytsky, the Head of Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), according to Ukrainian News.
As it was reported earlier, Chaus was detained in the Republic of Moldova. Representative of Moldovan law enforcement body said that the judge came to the police department on his own and surrendered. NABU detectives are already preparing documents for his extradition.
As it is known, agents from NABU in cooperation with agents from the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) discovered another Kyiv judge Mykola Chaus had received a bribe of $150 thousand. The money was found in glass jars, which Chaus dug in the yard of his residence.
Judge became famous for his decisions against Euromaidan participants as well as criminal case against Hennadiy Korban, head of Ukrop political party.
