Moldovagaz said that Gazprom continuese to supply gas to Moldova as usual. This is how Moldovagaz commented on publications in national mass media on Friday about cessation of gas supply to Ukraine and possible reduction of gas supply to Moldova, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Due to the contract termination between Gazprom and Naftogaz, Moldovagaz informs that gas supply will not stop and continue to be full. The contract on gas supply through the territory of Moldova signed with Gazprom expires in 2019,” the message says.
Representatives of the company stress that “they did not receive any official message from Gazprom about possible supply problems or any other changes in the current contract”.
“Accordingly, gas system of the Republic of Moldova continues to work as usual, Moldovagaz provides a reliable gas supply to the final consumers,” the company says.
As we reported earlier, after the ruling of the Stockholm Arbitration, Russia's Gazprom announced its intention to terminate gas contracts with Naftogaz Ukraine.
