Among foreigners, the citizens of Moldova come to Ukraine most often. In 2017 Moldavians crossed Ukrainian border 4.5 million times.
Belarusians and Russians take second and third place respectively.
Poland and Hungary are placed fourth and fifth followed by Romania and Slovakia.
The top ten countries include Turkey, Israel and Germany.
As it was reported earlier over the last three years, more and more Ukrainians have been traveling abroad. Oleg Slobodyan, the assistant head of the State Border Guard said that in 2015, over 23 million Ukrainian citizens crossed the border leaving the country; in 2016, the number made 25 million. In 2017, the number of Ukrainians who traveled abroad. Most of the citizens cross the border using cars, and only 17 percent of passengers use aircraft; last year, the number of those made 3.6 million people.
The priority directions for most Ukrainian citizens are Poland, Russia, Hungary and Slovakia. According to the State Border Guard, over 4.4 million people crossed the Ukraine-Russia border.
