The information service on search of missing children will be launched in Ukraine first in pilot mode and later in full operation mode. Memorandum on creation of the project was signed by the National Police and Kyivstar mobile operator on Wednesday, the press service of the law enforcement agency informs.
It is reported that, within the framework of the project, Ukraine’s National Police will develop a module for children search, while the mobile operator will use SMS messages to inform its subscribers about missing children if they are near the place of disappearance of the child.
"This module in its functional purpose, allows you to enter, process and exchange information about missing children. In its turn, Kyivstar Company will help law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to promptly report missing children to the subscribers, who could be near the place of disappearance by SMS messages," the statement said.
The service will first operate in a pilot mode in Kyiv. Its launch is expected on September 15.
As it was reported earlier by UNICEF, over 100,000 children in eastern Ukraine could stay without drinking water. Two water filtering stations in Donbas were damaged over the week.
