Ministry of Health denies information about recovery of eight Ukrainians from Covid-19

The Ministry of Health has denied the information published earlier on the website of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine. It was about the recovery of eight of 47 patients with a new type of coronavirus.

"UPDATE: 8 people had a suspicion of Covid-19. To get the final result, they did 2 retests for Covid-19, which were negative. In these people a coronavirus infection wasn't detected," the agency’s Facebook page says.

The department reminded that in Ukraine, 47 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded (1 - recovered, 3 - fatal cases, 43 - undergoing treatment).

As reported, the first case of recovery from Covid-19 became known on March 20.

American Center for Systems Research and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University announced that on March 21, 11 921 deaths from coronavirus have been recorded in the world. This is reported by the site of the Center.

The largest number of deaths was recorded in Italy (4 032), China (3 139), Iran (1 556), Spain (1 375), France (450) and UK (177).

The largest number of infected were recorded in China (81 304), Italy (41 021) and Iran (20 610). Also, more than 25 000 cases were recorded in Spain, more than 21 000 in Germany, almost 20 000 in the US, more than 12 000 infected reported in France.
Most people recovered in China (71 264), Iran (5 979), Italy (4 440), South Korea (1 540), Spain (1 107).

In total, 287 239 people were infected with the virus in the world, 89 899 recovered, 11 921 died.
