The Ministry of Energy announced the change of leadership of strategic energy companies in Ukraine. Minister of Energy and Environment Oleksiy Orzhel stated this at a briefing, as RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to him, the political decision on replacement of heads of strategic energy enterprises was made after dismissal of the head of Energoatom Yuriy Nedashkovsky.
“We have removed from the office of the chairman of Energoatom. This is a big personnel decision. We can say that the political decision to change the management and start of competition at all strategic companies was made. This is not a matter of one company. The decision on reload of the supervisory boards and heads of strategic enterprises was taken politically. There are certain positions on each of the enterprises, based on the efficiency, on information about office abuse at these state-owned enterprises,” Orzhel said.
As it was reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed Yuriy Nedashkovsky, chairman of the Energoatom State Nuclear Energy Company. He worked as chairman of the company since March 2014.
