Miners protest for increasing of salaries in Kryvyi Rih second day

On the mine Zhovten, the part of the structural unit of the Zoria mine, PJSC Kryviy Rih Iron Ore Company, the strike of miners continues since Tuesday, May 7. The publication of the Ves Kryviy Rih reported this.

In particular, miners demanded an increase of salaries, explaining this fact that on May 1, many enterprises of the mining industry of Ukraine had a planned increase in employee benefits, and at PJSC Kryviy Rih Iron Ore Company nothing has changed.

According to the report, 60 miners descended under 1115 meter but did not start working. According to the publication, today dozens of miners have joined the protesters.

Earlier, 13 bodies of miners, who died during the explosion in the coal mine SkhidKarbon, were taken to the surface in Yurivka village of occupied Luhansk.

A number of explosions occurred at SkhidKarbon coal mine near Luhansk on the occupied territory of Luhansk region, eastern Ukraine. The blasts reportedly took lives of 19 people. Officers of Russia’s Emergency Ministry headed for the accident scene on request of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” that controls the area.
