The head of mine in Volyn region was charged for funding the so-called "Luhansk People’s Republic." This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

"The head of one of the mines of the Volynvuhillya State Enterprise was exposed financing the so-called "LNR," the statement reads.

It is noted that the head of the Volynvuhillya State Enterprise, which was appointed in 2018, has worked closely with the militants of illegal armed formations.

The official has organized a food trade channel to the occupied Donbas territories. As an entrepreneur, registered in uncontrolled by Ukraine territory, he paid almost 3,777 dollars of taxes to the budget of terrorists in the period of 2018-2019.

The director of the mine was pressed charges under article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for funding actions aiming to change the borders of the state.

Earlier, it was reported that there is a systematic delay in the payment of salaries for miners in Ukraine. The miners of Donetsk region have not received their salaries since July. In early November, the Energy Ministry transferred 25,4 million USD to state mines for full repayment of arrears for July and August, as well as payment of miners’ salaries for September 2021.
