Six Russian citizens were convicted for conducting the war against Ukraine this year, three of them are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation, another ten are citizens. This was stated by the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine report for 10 month of 2016 year.

It is noted that as a result of investigation of Russia’s activities against Ukraine, 14 Generals and 2 Colonels of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation received notice of suspicion.

“57 people were prosecuted for taking part in starting and conducting an aggressive war against Ukraine, 39 of those people are citizens of the Russian Federation and 31 of them are military officers of Russian Armed Forces,” the report states.

Sixteen of the mentioned people were convicted, six of the convicted are Russian citizens, three of them are military officers of Russian Armed Forces.

Another thirty people are on the wanted list.

Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee of Russian Federation convicted four battalion commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.They were incriminated with crimes provided by art. 33 (3) and art. 365 (1) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare).
