The prosecution requests the court to establish a time limit for reviewing case materials for lawyers of ex-president in state treason case against Victor Yanukovych. This was reported on Facebook by Larysa Sargan, the press secretary for the Prosecutor General.
"Ruslan Kravchenko, the prosecutor of chief military prosecutor’s office, filed an application to Pechersk district court requesting to set a time limit for the defense of ex-president Victor Yanukovych to review the materials of pre-trial investigation. The consideration of application is scheduled for February 15," she informed.
Sargan added, that prosecutor has established the fact of delaying case materials review by the ex-president’s defense. "I should remind that there are 25 volumes of the case. Professional lawyer can acquaint himself with the materials of such case in two weeks," she added.
As it was reported earlier, the defense of ex-president Victor Yanukovych refused to review case materials in the state treason case claiming the pre-trial investigation was not completed.
