Militants of the "DNR" shelled at the Donetsk filtering station from a large-caliber mortar. This was reported by the Ukrainian side in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC).
As the Centre notes, the terrorists opened mortar fire on the Donetsk filtration station on Tuesday, December 5. Observers also warn that the station has tanks with highly toxic chlorine.
"It should be noted that getting into one of the tanks with highly toxic chlorine at the Donetsk filtration station will inevitably lead to the death of all living around the station and will leave without water supply the population of the whole region," the report said.
The last shelling of the DFS by militants was recorded on December 3.
The decision came as the Programme doesn’t have enough funds to continue the support.
“WFP’s operation to provide food assistance to vulnerable, conflict-affected people in the eastern part of Ukraine will continue for another two months of the winter and will then come to an end,” the spokesman said.
At the same time, the Programme will continue its limited presence in the region to monitor the situation until mid-2018.
