12:10, 5 February 2018

The Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) stated that the authorities of the occupied Donbas could leave its residents without water. This was reported by the press center Ukraine’s Army headquarters on Facebook.

"Ukrainian side of the JCCC informs that because of the emergency condition of facilities of the pumping station of the South Donetsk water pipeline, it is possible to stop water supply on most of the Donbas territory," the report said.

As it was reported earlier, on January 26, 2018, pumping station of the South-Donetsk water pipeline was shelled by the militants. The cooling system of one or two transformers were damaged.

Also, Ukraine in the JCCC says that militant inactivity and ignoring the inquiries of Donbas factories as to the guarantee of safety during reparation works on the critical objects of infrastructure may lead to an emergency, the consequence of which is hard to predict.

The situation is urgent at the sludge collector in Novhorodske, Donetsk region. Ukrainian side in the JCCC and representatives of the emergency service have prepared the necessary plan of action on repairing the objects. But conducting the renovation isn’t possible as the militants don’t guarantee the safety of the workers.
