Ukraine will spend UAH 21 million ($795 thousand) on engineering and technical equipment of the state border in order to strengthen the state's defense capabilities. This amount was allocated by the Cabinet of Ministers to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the government portal reports.
"Sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, security of citizens are the main tasks of the government. Therefore, it is extremely important to timely implement measures for engineering and technical arrangement of the state border, creating the necessary conditions for detecting and stopping its illegal crossing," First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko stated.
Money for strengthening the state border will be allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget.With this money it is planned to buy raw materials for the production of spiral barbed tape type "Yegoza".
On November 8, hundreds of migrants were seen at the Polish-Belarusian border. Therefore, the Polish government immediately pulled the soldiers on alert to the borders, and Lukashenko asked for help from Russian aviation to guarantee security at the country's borders.
