Interior Ministry eliminates National Police's Economics Department

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has eliminated the Economics Department in Ukraine's National Police. Arsen Avakov, the Internal Affairs Minister wrote it on his Twitter page

"The MIA has already eliminated the Economics Protection Department of the National Police of Ukraine. There must be one unified and powerful mechanism fighting with economical crimes," Avakov reported.

According to him, the government supported department abolition and transfer of specialists to the Financial Investigation Service.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered the candidature of Arsen Avakov for the post of Ukraine’s Interior Minister during the session of the Servant of the People faction.

Previously, Zelensky responded to the petition on the dismissal of Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov as it gained the necessary amount of votes. He reminded that the dismissal of the Interior Minister of Ukraine, according to the Constitution of Ukraine, takes place on the basis of the submission of the prime minister.
