The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that there is no such thing as "one people" of Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians. The "three fraternal peoples" is more like a myth about Lech, Czech and Rus. He said this during the Ukraine 30 forum.
"Over the past year and a half, we have created the Quadriga between Ukraine and Turkey, the Associated Trio with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, and the Lublin Triangle with Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania. The triangle has a much broader context. Here, in Central Europe, we are our own. And there is no "one people" of Russians, Belarusians and Ukrainians here. Even if there is a myth of"three fraternal peoples," it is more like a myth about Lech, Czech and Rus, which was erased from history " Kuleba said.
The minister also noted that in order to strengthen its security, Ukraine has developed military and technical cooperation with the United States, United Kingdom and Turkey, and joined the NATO Enhanced Opportunities Partner Program.
According to the law, "the indigenous people of Ukraine are an autochthonous ethnic community formed on the territory of Ukraine, bearers of original language and culture, have traditional, social, cultural or representative bodies, self-aware as indigenous people of Ukraine."
Russian President Vladimir Putin compared the consequences of the law on the indigenous peoples of Ukraine to weapons of mass destruction.
