Earlier Russian media informed that pirates released all crew members of the vessel captured in Nigeria, 1 Ukrainian and 7 Russians among them

Ukrainian captured member of BBC Caribbean vessel was released and is now safe. This was reported by the press service of Consular service department of Ukrainian MFA on Twitter.

Negotiations were carried out by Briese German company, which is the owner of BBC Caribbean vessel. It is known that the ransom was agreed with pirates but the amount is not made public.

As it was reported earlier, pirates who attacked the BBC Caribbean vessel in the territorial sea of Nigeria in early February have released 8 captured sailors, seven Russian citizens and one Ukrainian among them.
