If Ukraine wants to have a successful democracy, it has to provide the freedom of speech. UK member of the EP and the Liberal Democrats political party Caroline Voaden stated that during the interview in Brussels.

"I understand that things may change and develop, the European Union works closely with Ukraine to develop the freedom of speech as it is extremely important for democracy and for the protection of human rights. If you want a stable and successful democracy, you should give people the possibility to express everything they think. We even allow expressing our Brexit party about the Brexit despite I strongly disagree with them but it is their right to express the things they think," Voaden said.

Earlier, Member of the EP and Brexit political party John Tennant emphasized that it was hard to imagine that the Parliament could intervene in the editorial policy of the mass media in the United Kingdom.
