The memorial is located near the Amsterdam airport Schiphol, from which the МН17 flight departed three years ago. The complex is presented in the form of a metal wall and a large metal eye with the minted names of all victims of the disaster. They are surrounded by 298 trees that were planted in March this year in the form of a ribbon and are planted around with sunflowers.
As it was reported earlier today, on July 17, 2017, the international society remembers the victims of MH17 plane crash. The tragic incident took place in the skies over the militant-occupied area of Donbas, eastern Ukraine; the civilian aircraft, Boeing 777 of Malaysian Airlines was on its way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when an anti-aircraft missile hit the plane, killing everyone aboard. 298 people – passengers and crew members – lost their lives in the explosion.
