Viktor Medvedchuk, the representative of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” talked about a peace plan and the ways to find “the keys to the peace” during the All-Ukrainian Congress of the party.
“Our plan offers three sections: legislative, administrative and the one which concerns the order and the procedure of peace-enforcement. The plan provides for creating an autonomous region Donbas as a part of Ukraine. It proposes arrangement through the bodies of government, such as the Parliament, Government and others, which would be responsible for the functioning of the region. The third principle which is a basic one is that our plan is built on the Minsk Agreements confirmed by the UN Security Council resolution. It complies with the Normandy format declaration and current legislation of Ukraine. We propose to introduce the relevant amendments to the Constitution,” he said.
On Tuesday, January 29, an emergency All-Ukrainian Congress of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” was held.
On 17 November 2018, 'Opposition Platform - For Life' party nominated Boyko as its candidate in the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election.
The presidential campaign in Ukraine kicked off on December 31. The election day is slated for March 31.
