The conflict in Donbas should be solved during the negotiations between Kyiv and Donetsk, Luhansk and Moscow. This was stated by the Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform – For Life party Viktor Medvedchuk in European Parliament where he was invited by the European MPs to present his peace plan related to the settlement of the situation in Donbas.
“We proposed the mechanism of this plan; it is a mechanism of direct dialogue and negotiations. This includes the direct dialogue between Kyiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Moscow. Without any doubts, this is an internal conflict, and it foremost should be solved between Kyiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk. We speak about negotiations with Moscow because the Russian Federation has a huge influence on the representatives located today in Donetsk and Luhansk. We believe that in such four-sided figure we can solve issues of peaceful settlement and ceasefire,” Medvedchuk said.
As it was reported earlier, the Co-Chairman of the Opposition Platform - For Life political party Vadim Rabinovich, and Nestor Shufrych, the same party MP, presented a peace plan on resolving Donbas conflict to the French senator Natalie Goulet at the Luxembourg Palace. The parliamentarians also expressed the hope that the support of French politicians will help speed up the implementation of this peace plan.
