In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the medics, who hold vaccination, have spoiled almost 500 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine due to the worry and peculiarities of the drug’s use as Halyna TV reported citing Deputy Director of Health Department of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Volodymyr Dzembak.

“The mobile brigades that hold vaccination, they were really worried, withdrawing a full dose trying not to reduce the dose and effect from the vaccination. We have held extra training. This issue is solved,” Dzembak said.

According to the official, the doctors believed that less than a dose was left in the ampoule with initially 10 doses; however, the amount was sufficient for the vaccination of one more person.

“The ampoule does not have a graduating. Due to the fear of injection of a smaller dose, the drug was left in the ampoule. They worried not to pass these doses to someone. There is no abuse,” Dzembak.
