May Day parade was held in Kyiv.
The members gathered near Khreshchatyk metro station. The column was moving towards the European Square. The event ended near the Ukrainian House.
As RBC-Ukraine reports, the gathered people presented “a plan on struggle for ordinary people”.
Kyiv Trade Union City Council and Social Democratic Party organized the event.
It was noted that the parade was held to draw attention of the state and local authorities, employers, business to the need to address the pressing issues of a working person.
Around 1,000 people showed up at the parade. The participants of the event were holding flags with the symbolics of Kyiv Trade Union City Council, Social Democratic Party and state flags. The representatives of the Labor Party, Party of Greens, military pensioners were present at the parade.
The protesters had posters with signs “Give wage arrears back”, “Hard times? We will make the oligarch’s share”, “Standing in a queue for subsidies is a humiliation for the workers”, “Bring back health-resort treatment to workers” etc.
The event went peacefully.
Earlier, a May Day parade started today in Kyiv. 500 law enforcers, the representatives of the National Guard, kept order during the event.
