Max Barskih's Fogs song became a soundtrack to Venice Film Festival winner Bad Roads that will be released in Ukraine on May 20.
"I learned to write songs and let them go. It's so great to hear them from the lips of listeners, to see them on the big screen - to watch their independent lives in all sorts of forms and manifestations," Barskih commented.
The Bad Roads film is the directorial debut of Nataliia Vorozhbyt, the author of the To Catch the Kaidash series and the screenwriter of the Cyborgs film. It is a film adaptation of the play of the same name of the Nataliia, which was successfully performed in Kyiv and London.
The film includes five separate short stories about the residents of Donbas, whose lives run on both sides of the line of demarcation. Five broken roads - five stories of love, hate, trust, betrayal and violation of personal borders against the background of violation of state borders. The script is based on documentary stories collected by the author in eastern Ukraine while working on the Cyborgs film.
As it was reported earlier, Members of the Ukrainian Film Academy have identified nominees for the Fifth National Golden Whirligig Film Award. Bad Roads film was a leader in the number of nominations.
