“A group of intruders from different regions of Ukraine by using special equipment have been making so-called “incisions” in the oil pipelines in Sumy, Chernihiv and Poltava regions within several months. They have been pumping the materials into tankers and then marketed it for handling,” the message says.
The Security Service officers detained three intruders in Chernihiv region amid the attempt to hand over another batch of oil.
Two tanks of an estimated price around $30,000 are under arrest for now. The officers determined location of “incisions” in the pipeline and storages.
The Prosecutor’s Office started a criminal proceeding. The investigation team is trying to define all the individuals involved.
As we reported earlier, law enforcers blocked an stealage of raw materials from oil pipelines in Chernihiv region in January.
