The record on the project of the providing of the international economic support for Ukraine under the name of the 'European plan for Ukraine' or 'Marshall Plan' at the declaration of the 'Eastern Partnership' summit can become more specified. It is expected that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will present it. Initiator of this project, former Prime Minister of Lithuania and MP of the Lithuanian Seimas Andrius Kubilius claimed this as Ukrinform reported.

'I can say the following on this document: there is a clear statement on the things we want to see at the project of the European Parliament resolution. It is recommended to give a mandate to the European Commission and European Investment Bank to work out the 'European Plan for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia' at the next session of the European Council because the issue is about three countries of the Partnership that have the Association Agreement', he noted.

According to Kubilius, the statement at the project of the summit's declaration is more unclear.

'There is an issue on the investment help but there is no mentioning on some specified plan. The Ukrainian side offers more clear statement. However, the summit cannot give a mandate that is mentioned at the resolution of the European Parliament', he emphasized.

According to Kubilius, the summit is the good opportunity to present the plan.

'We think that possibly President Poroshenko will do it', he noted.

As it was reported the 'Marshall Plan' for Ukraine got the clearness and it was presented at the Lithuanian Seimas on November 6.

The European Commission claimed that they received the project of the 'Marshall Plan' for Ukraine. It was submitted by the Foreign Minister of Lithuania.

‘Marshall Plan for Ukraine’ is the initiative of the Republic of Lithuania for support of Ukraine in 2017-2020 that provides the consistent plan of the economic, financial and investment support, including the strengthening of the strategic dialogue between Ukraine and Western countries to provide the European integration of Ukraine. It provides the investment in the real sector of the Ukrainian economy and the support of the reforms that aim at the economic growth, the creation of the new tools of the investment financing, support of the small and medium business.
