One of the participants in the conflict with the beating of the People's Deputy Mustafa Nayem on Bessarabska Square, wanted by the police, flew to Baku (Azerbaijan) 2 hours after the incident. This was reported by the spokesman of the prosecutor's office in Kyiv, Nadiya Maksymets on her page in Facebook.
"Today we already know that this person 2 hours after the clash, namely at 19:38 on April 30, 2018 crossed the state border and in the plane Kyiv-Baku and left the territory of Ukraine," she said.
According to her, it was he who broke the jaw of the deputy.
"However, at this time, the investigative and operational group was working on the scene, and his identity had not yet been established, so it was impossible to prevent or hinder his flight," Maksymets wrote.
She also noted that the three detainees were charged under Art. 296 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the sanction of which provides for up to 4 years of imprisonment, which is a more severe punishment than that of Article 122 Part 1.
"Forensic medical examination of injuries received by the deputy will be prescribed and carried out, but after the completion of his treatment in a medical institution," she noted.
As it was previously reported, in the area of Bessarabska Square in Kyiv on April 30, a people's deputy Mustafa Nayem was beaten. He himself informed about the incident and stressed that the incident is not connected with his political activities.
