Man posthumously diagnosed with coronavirus in Ukraine's Volyn region

As of March 31, three cases of coronavirus infection are registered in Volyn region. One of the cases was recorded posthumously over the past 24 hours. Volyn Regional State Administration press service reported this.

“Over the last 24 hours one case of Covid-19 was recorded in Volyn region (posthumously). So, as of 10:00 on March 31, 2020, three cases of coronavirus infection were found in Volyn region,” the report said.

 It is noted that man did not die from symptoms of a coronavirus, but from a heart attack. He was undergoing treatment with a diagnosis of pneumonia in an infectious diseases hospital. He died on March 29, and on March 30, coronavirus infection was confirmed in the laboratory.

Ten people are registered with suspected coronavirus infection in the region. Samples of their analyzes are being tested in the virology laboratory of the State Institution Volyn Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the number of coronavirus cases in Ukraine reached 549. In total, 13 fatal cases have been recorded.
