The majority of Ukrainians should be vaccinated against coronavirus until Independence Day as the President’s Office reported citing Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Until the Independence Day, the majority of Ukrainians, who need the vaccine against Covid-19, should receive the vaccine. The tempo of vaccination should be increased,” Zelensky said.

Moreover, Zelensky has urged the government to hold explanatory work among people about the importance of vaccination.

The head of the state believes that vaccination is the only and the most effective way to fight against the pandemic.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stated that over 1.6 million doses of coronavirus vaccines were delivered to Ukraine. However, more deliveries are expected in May and, accordingly, an increase in the daily number of vaccinated people.
