The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services John McCain and a member of the Senate Committees on Armed Services, Legal Affairs and Budget Lindsey Graham plan to visit Ukraine in late December. This was reported by the press center of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.
“Senator Graham assured that the issue of Ukraine’s support will continue to be among the priorities of his activities, and confirmed his intention to visit Ukraine in late December, together with the Chairman of the Committee on Armed Services McCain,” a statement summarizing Graham’s meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister on European integration Ivanna Klympush Tsintsadze and the Ukraine’s Ambassador to the USA Valeriy Chaly said.
The parties discussed the priority issues related to countering Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The Ukrainian side thanked the Senator for support in questions of adopting the law by the Congress for providing increased financial assistance to Ukraine and help with security issues.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to further joint steps to ensure adopting the law “On maintenance of stability and democracy in Ukraine” by the Senate.
Earlier it was reported that Turchynov and Merkel’s Secretary discussed situation in eastern Ukraine. The two sides also discussed the possibility of joint projects in the security sector.
