President of France Emmanuel Macron has reached an agreement with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on the Normandy Format talks at the level of the foreign ministers as Spiegel reported.
According to Macron, he has agreed on the Normandy Format talks at the level of the foreign ministers during the talks with Zelensky and Putin.
The President of France is sure that this event “will allow spotting the progress” that can be reached at the meeting of the leaders of states and governments.
Moreover, Macron stated that he sees no other option than the Normandy Format for the solution of “Ukrainian issue”.
“I do not see any other more effective methods of work on the Ukrainian issue than the Normandy Format, within which, the progress was reached during the last months,” the French leader said.
According to him, “determination and systematic work” are needed for further work in this format”.
Earlier, Adviser of the President’s Office Head Mykhailo Podolyak stated that the talks of the advisers of the Normandy Format on the settlement of the Donbas Conflict on May 26 were very difficult due to the hard-line stances of the sides.
