French President Emmanuel Macron said in his interview for Le Point he had major differences with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine and “won’t let him get away with anything.” This was reported by Reuters.
“I speak with everybody. Very directly and very frankly. On Ukraine, we have major differences with Vladimir Putin. I take note of it. France won’t let him get away with anything,” he said.
The conflict between Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed separatists has claimed more than 10,000 lives since it erupted in 2014.
As it was reported earlier President of France Emmanuel Macron and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel called on the presidents of Russia and Ukraine Vladimir Putin and Petro Poroshenko to fulfill their duties on ensuring the cease-fire in Donbas.
