As it was specified, it was about the introduction of a moratorium on a public use of Russian cultural product in any forms on the territory of Lviv region till the complete end of the occupation of Ukraine.
This decision was made to “avoid the escalation of tensions in the community and avoidance of stoking ethnic dissension to protect the Ukrainian informational space from the hybrid influence of the aggressor state and overcoming of the circumstances of a long-term language russification; considering multiple appeals of the patriotic and veteran NGO’s”.
In its turn, Lviv Region State Administration has to take measures concerning the creation of an interdepartmental working group (with the community, law enforcers and regional state administration) to conduct systematic explanatory work for the physical and legal entities on the moratorium on the public use of the “Russian cultural product”.
Moreover, the local authorities are recommended to made same decisions on the imposing of the same moratorium.
The executive apparatus of the regional council is entrusted to develop and present for considering an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning the necessity of amendments to the legislative acts of Ukraine on the ban of public replication of audiovisual records in the language of the aggressor state.
Earlier, Lviv region council demanded the Ukrainian authorities terminate the diplomatic relationships and impose a visa-regime with Russia.
