President Petro Poroshenko and mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi have discussed Donbas trade blockade in Presidential Administration.
Sadovyi reported this to Ukrayinska Pravda.
"I talked to Avakov in the morning. When I visited Avakov, the minister informed that president knows about our meeting and invites me for tea. This was a spontaneous decision," Sadovyi noted.
According to Lviv mayor, meeting with Poroshenko took place in presence of Internal Minister.
"We discussed various topics quite some time, the conversation was tough. My first question was about our warriors, volunteers who are being captive, how to release them. President expressed his understanding on he sees this complicated process. My position is simple — if we should exchange 100-200-300-400-500-600 people for our Ukrainians, we have to do it! We must release all Ukrainian citizens who got into this trouble. President laid out his vision," he said.
"We also spoke about the blockade, the surnames of main actors sounded during the discussion, he argued what and how should be done. I have my own understanding of this issue. The talk was very hard, Avakov was mostly listening," the agency cited mayor.
