Mykola Sanzharevsky, the ballet soloist of Lviv Opera House accused of the assistance to the terrorist activity, confessed that he moderated anti-Maidan group in the social networks in 2014 and transferred the funds to the occupied territories. However, he has already stopped to do it and he does not consider himself as the separatist as ZAXID.net reported.
According to Sanzharevsky, he was the admin of one of the secondary pages of the anti-Maidan and criticized the actions of the particular politicians in his posts. At the beginning of the military actions in Donbas he really began the gathering of the funds through the electronic purses but he did not think that the money can be spent for another purpose.
'There was a health worker whom I know as I toured in Donetsk. He assured me that there is a shortage of medicines. I made these purses. It should be the aid for the civilians but I have understood that other people can use them for another purpose and stopped this activity. Then I appealed with the request to close these purses', he explained.
In the beginning of January 2018, the accusation of Sanzharevsky toward his posts in Vkontakte in the support of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republic and gathering of the funds to finance the separatism was published in the internet. Sanzharevsky claimed that he lost control over his account in this social network in 2014 and could not restore the access to it and it had been already checked.
Due to this, the SBU held the search at the place of residence of Sanzharevsky in the suspicion of the assistance to the terrorist organization and confiscated technique and information storages. At the moment the security service holds the expert study of the confiscated things.
The assistance to the terrorist organization provides the 15 years of the imprisonment.
