Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has shown the operative video in the case of extortion by Ihor Guzhva, editor-in-chief of 112 Ukraine TV channel was broadcasting the press conference of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko.

"Video will be published. Those who want to see it — they will see it. Honestly, I see such footage every day, especially on Fridays. Larysa (Sargan, Prosecutor General’s press secretary — 112 International) even follows up on "Friday bribe takers". This is usually a peak. But this is in confidence. I am not joking around. This is indeed very sad, that people associating themselves with such a beautiful profession, as journalist, transform this into the instrument of blackmail and extortion. I think it should be in the past," Lutsenko announced.

Lutsenko also commented on the video content.

"This is the source (on the video), who will later act as a mediator, receive money, marked bills, take it in the bag with beacon, the picture will disappear, obviously, while sound can be heard. He will bring the money, knock on Guzhva’s office, take it in his bag and wait for the arrival of operatives of the security forces. Marked money will be found in his bag. This is the episode of agreement with mediator. The next episode — receipt of the funds by mediator. Then the mediator brings money to his boss. When watching, pay attention to the expression of extortionist when security forces entered. Speaks volumes," Prosecutor General commented.
