Luhansk region miners strike because of non-payment of salaries

Miners in Luhansk region strike because of non-payment of salaries since 2015. This was reported by the head of Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine (KVPU) Mykhaylo Volynets in Facebook.

“The miners do not leave the mine for the second day: yesterday the first shift of miners refused to leave the mine, and other shifts descend. The goal is to receive salary since 2015. The entire first shift are shaft sinkers under the ground, as of now there are only 70 miners,” he wrote.

Later Volynets reported about 54 miner in the mine.

It is also reported that now only dehydration and ventilation work at the mine, and the federation does everything to help the miners.

It is noteworthy that monthly salary fund at this mine is over a million dollars, and the debt is almost three-month fund (respectively 3 million dollars).

As it was reported earlier by militants about an explosion in Luhansk center. One person died, two got injured.
