"Everyone was told to prepare for September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers will monitor the growth of the number of coronavirus patients for another week and a half before the introduction, and this statistic will decide how tough the lockdown will be. I know that it will affect public transport," the source said.
It is reported that the restrictive measures will affect the work of cafes, restaurants, beauty salons and others, as well as public transport systems, including metro, the use of which will be limited through the Kyiv Digital system.
Meanwhile, a lockdown may be introduced in Ukraine in November. This was announced by Chief Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin.
"According to the scenario we are currently moving towards, a new lockdown can be introduced around November," Kuzin said.
The Sanitary Doctor noted that the decision on the lockdown is made by local authorities. However, according to Kuzin, if the situation worsens, a lockdown across the country could be introduced at the national level.
