Local authorities in Kyiv and Lviv, despite a record number of new Covid-19 cases, have decided to ease quarantine restrictions. We will tell you what was allowed starting from June 24, under what conditions and whether these two cities can return again to strict quarantine.
Work allowed in:
Restaurants and cafes indoors, swimming pools, hotels, theaters, cinemas, as well as holding cultural and artistic events.
Under what conditions?
Restaurants and cafes must make markings for keeping the distance in the queues, keeping the distance between the tables not less than 1.5 m, placing no more than four customers at one table. One can separate the table with a partition, which will make contact between customers impossible.
The contactless menu should be available at the entrance, the place of reception of the order or tables have to be from a material that allows application of disinfectant, or if it is a one-time paper menu.
In the restaurant it is forbidden:
- entry of visitors unaccompanied by an employee;
- holding banquets and other events in which more than 10 people take part;
- children's rooms;
- cooking in open kitchens, if they are not separated from visitors by a partition;
- self-service buffets, in particular for client who pours a drink himself.
In fast food restaurants, food, beverages, trays and cutlery has to be provided at the request of the visitor.
Cultural mass events must be held without fan zones and in the presence of no more than 1 person per 5 square meters indoors or in a fenced area where the event takes place.
It is recommended to control the tickets in a contactless way, and to avoid queues - to increase the number of points of entry.
Visitors must wear masks and respirators covering their nose and mouth at all times. The distance between the seats must be at least 1.5 m. In the halls with stationary seats, visitors must be placed with free space next to them, in front and behind.
Pools can work for individual visitors, as well as for students of sports schools, Olympic training centers, students of specialized sports education institutions with specific training conditions for training groups of the 2nd year and older (observing anti-epidemic restrictions).
Hotels must provide online check-in to avoid queues at the reception, as well as take measures to avoid crowds of visitors and queues in halls, lobbies, elevator halls, elevators (not more than 1 person per 5 sq.m). Outside the room, visitors must wear masks.
It is recommended to organize meals according to the ordering system - delivery to the room or in restaurants (provided that the distance of 1.5 m between the tables and placement of no more than 4 people at the table).
If the hotel has beach equipment, it must be placed in accordance with the principle of social distancing. If a person with symptoms of acute respiratory disease is found, he or she should be isolated in the room before consulting a health care worker.
Cinemas and theaters can work, but with a limited number of visitors and the distance between them.
Acting prohibitions in Kyiv:
- you cannot stay in public buildings and structures, as well as in public transport without wearing masks or respirators that cover the nose and mouth;
- be on the streets without ID documents;
- to leave places of self-isolation and observation arbitrarily;
- to hold mass events with the participation of more than one person per 5 square meters;
- foreigners and stateless persons crossing the state border without a policy of insurance of expenses related to Covid-19 treatment, observation;
- to visit educational institutions in groups of more than 10 people (except for external examinations and exams);
- work of children's health and recreation facilities;
- transportation of passengers when the number of seats is greater it is provided by the technical characteristics of the vehicle.
Morbidity in capital now
“The news is not optimistic again,” Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko started today's online press conference.
According to the latest data, since the beginning of the pandemic in the capital, 4,528 cases of coronavirus have been recorded, 99 of them - in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 232 patients diagnosed with Covid-19 in Kyiv hospitals, including 9 children. 51 patients are in serious condition, one person is connected to the lungs ventilator.
As for the occupancy of beds in basic hospitals where coronavirus patients are accepted, 57% of beds are occupied in Oleksandrivska Hospital, 33% - in hospital #4, 75% in hospital #9, 33% - in city children's infectious hospital.
Can quarantine be strengthened?
Yes. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, this will happen in case of a worsening of the epidemiological situation.
Restaurants and cafes indoors, provided there not more than 10 customers at a time. Sports and fitness clubs can also be open from June 24, but they are allowed to receive up to 10 visitors.
The owners of these institutions were obliged to provide systematic ELISA testing for their employees. The kindergartens in Lviv are still closed.
Morbidity in Lviv now
Mayor Andriy Sadovy called it “difficult.” To date, 4,423 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Lviv region, of which 120 are fatal. There are 186 people in hospitals, including 6 people in intensive care, and 2 people on IVL ventilation.
Can quarantine be strengthened?
Here is what the Mayor of Lviv says about it: “One very important factor we monitor every day is the number of patients in our city hospitals. Initially, we reserved approximately 2,500 beds for coronavirus patients in the region. Today we have approximately 800 patients; it is 35-40% occupancy. This is a very important point. If we see that this situation changes, then other rules and regulations will be introduced.”
