If the Verkhovna Rada adopts the law on the cancelation of the switch to standard/daylight saving time, the local communities would be able to establish different schedules of work. 112.ua.tv reported that citing PM Denys Shmygal.
“The local communities will get the possibility to give recommendation on working hours, in other words, somewhere it will be possible to start the working day from 9:00 a.m., somewhere from 08:00 a.m., somewhere from 9:30 a.m., somewhere from 07:30 a.m., in other words, it will be regulated locally when the working day begins, recommend such things and regulate this situation to avoid the difference in different parts of Ukraine in the light day, especially in winter. That is why such things will be regulated by local communities,” Shmygal said.
He added that he and his government support the cancelation of the switch to daylight saving time and expect the adoption of the law.
On March 3, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made the first step toward the permanent time.
Ukrainians will have no need to turn the clock, if the MPs make it before March 28.
Otherwise, Ukraine will switch to daylight saving time in March and in autumn, 2021, the country will return to the permanent ‘winter’ time.
