Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas arrived in Ukraine on December 8, where he met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksiy Reznikov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"Lithuania's contribution to the adoption of the landmark decision of the Council of the EU to provide Ukraine with 31 million euros directly for the practical needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also important. In this context, I would like to thank Lithuania and personally Mr. Anušauskas for handing over the bulletproof vest to the Ukrainian army today. This initiative demonstrates the steadfast and consistent support of our friends in repelling Russia's armed aggression," Reznikov noted.

In his turn, Anušauskas, during his visit to Ukraine, wrote on Twitter that he brought the first part of military assistance to Ukraine and it is not only armoured vests, but also ballistic belts. The Lithuanian government provides this military assistance to the Ukrainian army free of charge.

"Ukraine's fight is also Lithuania's fight," Lithuanian Defense Minister stressed.
