Lithuania supports Ukraine in EU, because of threat

There is a wide field of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the defense sector, according to the Vice-Prime Minister on European integration of Ukriane Klympush Tsintsadze

Lithuania is supporter of Ukraine’s voice in the European Union, because they understand a threat that can arise in the West if Kyiv does not keep the front. This was stated by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine on European Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, reports 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We have a wide field of cooperation with Lithuania (in the defense sector - Ed.) ... Lithuania helps us very seriously in terms of Ukraine's relations with the EU. It is one of the few countries that understand very clearly the threats we face today. It understands that if Ukraine were to lose at the front, the EU countries as well as NATO’s Member countries will be facing this threat directly," she said.

Earlier it was reported that Lithuanian President Grybauskaite to visit Ukraine in December. President’s Administration Deputy Head met with Lithuanian colleagues in Vilnius. Grybauskaite met Poroshenko in Kyiv today, on December 12. The two leaders talked through the most burning issues, especially those related to the Russian aggression.
